Anyone know where to find them?? There's some on facebook, but its only for one floor.

Not sure how easy it’ll be to find them. But, most of the rooms look exactly like the 1st floor ones. Unless you’re in the archway. Mostly doubles, somewhat spacious common rooms with pretty nice wood paneling. Which side of Vandy are you going to be in? That’ll help me explain a bit more too.

Yeah, I’m in Branford. Is the archway where the people in VB02 live? Because I’m not so sure what floor that would be…

VB02 is probably in the “basement.” Vandy has a couple of suites that are below the ground level, but I didn’t know they put freshmen in there. On the bright side, I went into one of them and it seemed pretty big, at least bigger than normal Vandy suites. But I might be off on this. IMO thought, the Branford side of Vandy is better than the Berkeley side, so congrats!

Thanks! Yeah I’m in a triple in that suite so…hopefully the rooms are bigger!!

So I found this:

Are VB15 and 16 singles?? What are they supposed to be?

I can’t really see VB15 and 16, but it seems as if they are stand-alone singles. I’m assuming they’re Fro-Co (Freshman Counselor) rooms.

You’re in a triple?! That’s so bizarre, I’ve never heard of that. Is it three in the suite, or 3 in the room?

Maybe there are some past students who can help out… anyone have a clue with what the deal is with VC11? We have four people assigned to the suite, 2 for bedroom A and 2 for bedroom B… yet I don’t see a bedroom B on the floor plan.

@ drbigboyjoe9505: 6 in the suite, 3 in each room

Just found out I’m in Branford too! Any ideas on VC31?

Breuer2014- B is probably the small room in the upper right corner of the room. It’s small, as are most doubles in Vandy.

MegaV - I didn’t know Yale did triples. Hopefully you can find someone who has been there. If you’re on Fbook, check the 2013 group for a list of who lived in that room and ask them about it (just shoot a message). They’ll most likely be helpful.

VC11 will have two doubles. You’re probably reading the plan wrong. The doubles in C and D are larger than the other doubles in vandy, although they’re the same awkwardly long rectangular shape.

VC31 will be more or less identical to VC11. I believe VC31 will have a bathroom in the hall, shared with the quad across the hall. VC11 will be the only suite on the floor, and may have an in suite bathroom (i lived in VD11 which had an in suite bathroom, and the halves of the building mirror each other).

I doubt that VB02 will have two triples… maybe it was labeled wrong? I believe all of the basement suites are quints, and i don’t think any bedrooms within suites in vandy are meant for three people.

I just looked at the plan for VC11… I’m guessing either it changed after renovation (vandy was renovated in 2000), or your dean made a mistake. It’s more likely that those are just old plans. Although branford is getting a new dean this year… You might want to contact your frocos (if you can find them through facebook) or call the master’s office to ask about that.

VC11 does have an in-suite bathroom, and also probably equipped for handicapped people (just means you get a big toilet area and a shower with a bench in it). It’s convenient, but you’ll have to clean it yourself (as will everyone else with in suite bathrooms, e.g. the basement suites and people in Farnam and Welch).

VB15 is your bathroom. It looks like VB16 is the landing of the entryway, which they apparently gave a room number?
