Vanderbilt MS CS vs Northeastern University MSIA( information assurance)

I have received the following admits
1.Vanderbilt university for masters in computer science ( no funding, its expensive)
2.Northeastern university for masters in information assurance with 10k merit scholarship.

Though for computer science they are ranked equally. Nationally Vanderbilt is much higher ranked ie.17.

My concern is it worth attending vanderbilt for its prestige value?
How is their graduate department for computer science is it reputed?
will I be able to land a high paying job due to the Vandy tag?

Are you an international student? If so, where do you plan to work after graduation? In the USA or in your home country?

I don’t know how much college rankings and reputations affect employment opportunities in technical fields in other countries. Here in the USA, a bachelors or masters degree in CS (or a related field) from most top ~100 universities (at least) should be very marketable. I would say that in general, employers are looking for programmers and systems engineers who can solve problems. You would demonstrate problem-solving ability not just by your degree(s) and GPA but by productive internship, research, and work experience. Building an impressive track-record will depend more on your own efforts than on where you get your degree. For some employers (like government agencies) the college brand (per se) will have little or no effect on job offers. For others, it might have a small impact on salary negotiation. However, there is no good data available to measure the return on investment of a Vanderbilt v. NE graduate degree in these fields.

US News and the NRC both rank graduate CS programs:

<a href=“NRC Rankings Overview: Computer Sciences”>http://chronicle.com/article/NRC-Rankings-Overview-/124721/</a></p>

What would your net cost be for each one?

yes I am an international student from India. I plan to work in the USA for a few years and then pursue MBA and then continue working in USA. I heard the Computer science department is very small in Vandy, is it ?
