Vanderbilt? & Northeastern?

<p>So I have applied to 9 colleges as a HS senior, including Vanderbilt University and Northeastern. I am really hoping for Vanderbilt, and wanted some input on my chances, as April is about 6 months away! I applied to Northeastern ED, but still waiting for that one.</p>

<p>I have highest combined 1900 on SAT, reading really hurt me.
I am enrolled to take the December ACT, & those scores will be sent to all 9.
I have a 3.97 GPA, I've been in all AP/honors/college classes.
AP's include World, Language, Calc BC, Microeconomics, Bio, & Spanish.
Rank is 9 of 500.
LOTS of extracurriculars, just no sports. </p>

<p>I know they're both really competitive, I just wanted to see if anyone qualified has any input or advice.</p>

<p>SAT will likely hold you back from Vanderbilt, and did you apply EA or ED to northeastern? Either way you have a solid shot</p>
