Vanderbilt Peabody ED - chances?

Hi there…I am a white male and applied to Vanderbilt Peabody early decision. I was wondering if anyone can give me insight into admissions into Peabody as a male/if anyone can chance me. here is my information:
1510 sat (770 math 740 reading/writing)
790 chemistry subject test, 750 math2 subject test
AP exams: 5 ab calculus, 5 language and composition, 4 comparative government, 4 chemistry
Senior courses: AP Physics 1, Honors Multivariable Calculus, AP Statistics, AP economics, AP English
GPA: 89.9 unweighted 94.4 weighted (unsure what this is on a 4.0 scale)
Some extracurricular include: church school assistant teacher, head of nominating committee for local community service group, youth group that goes on a ten day mission trip each year, adviser for middle school youth group, captain for varsity soccer team

Hello! I applied to Peabody (secondary ed) ED1 as well. Peabody does have a higher acceptance rate than all of the other Vandy colleges except Blair, but it houses the HOD program which is Vanderbilt’s most popular major. This makes it more selective than you might think. What did you put down for your major? I would imagine that as an education major you’d be more desirable to admissions as a male, but for HOD it really doesn’t make a difference. Otherwise, your stats are pretty solid. Hope this helps.

I put down HOD as first major and secondary education as second… I wasn’t aware that the major selected would impact chances for admission

You’re probably fine… HOD just tends to be slightly more competitive since it’s business-related. Don’t stress about it :slight_smile:
