3:30 PST ahhh…
Just reread my Vandy app and noticed a ~phaaat~ typo on my supplemental. Three to be exact. Easy to say I’ll be taking the L from Vanderbit.
I received the email yesterday evening at 8:11PM ET. Good luck to all applicants!
@ElGuiri I noticed a few typos on mine too after submitted in October. Good piece of advice: don’t read your app before decisions come out!
Just want to wish all the Srs good luck tonight! It’s an exciting and stressful time, I know. But it’s an amazing adventure you all are on now.
I’m a mom, not a helecopter mom, but here to try to learn more about the process in order to be supportive to my son. My kid is not even in the top 10% of his class, took his SATs without his calculator because he forgot it and did OK (well but not to his potential), then chose not to take them again. LOL Vanderbilt is a reach school for him, even as a music ed major. And we assume since he hasn’t heard directly from Blair yet that he hasn’t gotten in. But there is a school out there for everyone. And he’s already been accepted at 3 other GREAT music schools. So, remember that when one door closes, another opens. And you all will do great and love it wherever you end up.
NERVOUS
@anNCmom good luck to your son. My brother was a music major and got his master’s in it and there are many times I envy his life :-j
ahhh can’t wait to get my rejection
3 hours!
:-SS getting so nervous
X_X Tomorrow Columbia and Harvard decisions are coming out, right?
@Jojofam yes tomorrow is ivy day
I just wanted to share something with you guys that has helped me throughout the application process. This is specific from Columbia, but the message transfers to everything. At the end of my alumni interview for Columbia, my interviewer mumbles and then says “I am probably not supposed to say this, but out of everyone I have interviewed you are the most fit for Columbia.” He then continues saying more about that, but at the end he told me “If you get in or not is a game of luck, and just know you have done everything you could do to get in.”
I wrote this not to brag about my interview, but to share the overall message. No matter what happens tonight, hold your head high and just know you have done everything you could possible do. More importantly, be proud of everything you have done. Good luck to everyone and I hope no matter the outcome everyone is proud of themselves.
Anyone know how Vandy feels about students that have made it clear they are pre-med?
That’s great @confused6789 . Thanks. I will share it with my girl
@confused6789 you are an angel. Thank you, I feel better now
@confused6789 that’s a really good advice. Thank you.
Good luck to each of you! Big decisions coming out this week. Before opening the emails, remember that you have done everything you can to earn a place in the class of 2022. Don’t for let admissions diminish your confidence in yourself or lessen your achievements. Each of you will find your home and make the world a better place. I hope this forum is flooded with acceptances - including my DD’s.
Good luck!
