My son applied RD to 13 schools. He’s inscrutable as to his top choice, but it appears he has three favorites: Vanderbilt, Pomona, and UVA (OOS). I’m curious as to what other schools Vandy applicants are putting on the same level of interest.
@ThreeFelons I’m an international student and while I don’t have a top choice either, my top 3 would have to be Vanderbilt, Trinity and Vassar.
My kid is very interested in Rice and WashU. Pomona seems great but a long shot. Already admitted to UVa EA.
Hello, my D could be happy at any of her schools. Some are Wash U (deferred ED), Georgetown, Cornell, Case Western Reserve. Pitt, BU.
My daughter is waiting to hear from Vanderbilt and Duke
Accepted to:
Clemson
NC State
University of Virginia (OOS)
University of NC (merit scholarship…in state)
Anyone heard of vandy’s “Mosaic” Program
Mosaic is a sort of hospitality weekend for a select group of students who are often going to add diversity to the accepted class. It is important to note that Vanderbilt does not by any means invite all of the students of diverse backgrounds who will end up with an accceptance.
Daughter is waiting on:
Vandy
Georgetown
Cornell
Northwestern
BU
BC
Notre Dame
She’s in at Alabama Honors and Umass Amherst Honors–so thrilled that she has these options given the high number of denies/defers in ED/EA we’ve learned of so far.
Good luck to all!
Has anyone else found out about the Ingram Scholarship? I got the rejection today.
@confused6789 When were you notified? I applied but I haven’t gotten any email yet.
1:11 PM this was for Ingram only. I have not heard back from the others.
Son is waiting on Vandy, WashU, and Northwestern. Notre Dame is out. He is already in at several semi-selective strong regional schools which will be fine if none of these happen.
I am waiting on Cornell, Columbia, Vandy, Carnegie Mellon, and Berkeley.
I’m waiting on Brown, Harvard, Princeton, Vandy, Wash U, Berkeley, Northwestern, JHU, and UCLA. I’ve been admitted to UVA (OOS), Northeastern (merit scholarship), and Michigan (OOS) thus far.
Also, does anyone know when the Chancellor’s Scholarship will be released?
@Bostonmom8 did your daughter go to U of Alabama’s Capstone Scholar Day?
The person he chose never responded, when we went back to the form it was too late.
Waiting on my last three schools: Emory, Harvard, Brown!
Accepted to Vanderbilt early RD. Waiting on Duke, Princeton, Swarthmore, UCLA, and Brown. Been accepted to Tulane, UNC (full ride), UVA, Emory, and Miami
@Pastpower. May I ask what “early RD” means? Your stats must be great. I just wondered if schools send out RD decisions before the decision date. And all the schools you’ve already been admitted to, did you apply ED/EA? Thanks for your response!
