@hopewhite25 - Oh…my runway is quite long, with a sophomore D, and a D in 4th grade. But, this being my first child to go through the process, mistakes were made. May I learn from them, to be a better guide to my D’s down the road.

@BuffDad2022 This is our second, with one more to come in 4 years. Mistakes were made with the first and I feel like we worked them out with our second. Hopefully we can do the same with our last one. Although we joke she may be the one that ends up living at home with us. Lol.
I’m just happy that the Vanderbilt waitlist isn’t impossible to get off of.

Congrats to those getting good news! DS struck out on all 4 elites, but has two great choices; either a top-3 regional private school offering 40% off tuition or the best local state school offering full tuition. 1st world problems

Waitlisted w 35 ACT 4.5-4.6 GPA (w 4.83 in last 4 semesters) w leadership positions such as in Boys State. Also ran cross country and track for High School among other ECs
Waitlisted with 30 ACT, but a crazy amount of EC’s and rigorous coursework (AP classes and Honors). Vandy’s my top choice, so I’m definitely showing my continued interest.

ACT 33, 4.46wtdGPA, IB Program, both EC clubs she is President (Service and Environmental), Varsity Swim 6 yrs-Captain, excellent LoRs and a ton of volunteer hours and church service. Toured campus, the attended Black & Gold Day and interviewed. Applied for CV and Chancellor but not awarded. Congrats to all!
S accepted RD, Arts and Sciences. ACT 36, GPA 3.9/4.3, most rigorous, no rank, NMF, SAT Subject Math 2 790, Chemistry 800, 12 APs, AP Scholar with Distinction (5 5s, 2 4s), 2 season athlete All-State 4 times, several other ECs. Since S was hoping for CV scholarship and did not receive it, not sure if Vanderbilt can be in top choices.
