Vanderbilt Regular Decision Thread

@prayingmom Got into the MOSAIC program which includes an early acceptance notification. I applied EA to all my other schools I’ve been accepted into. Emory technically doesn’t have an “EA” per se. If you apply by November 15 you find out if you got into Emory Scholars programs. I didn’t get that but they did give me an early acceptance letter.

Congratulations @Pastpower !

@Pastower. Thanks for your response! Wow! Congratulations for all your accomplishments! Good luck on other schools, too.

Also got into Vanderbilt today through the MOSAIC Multicultural Program

Seems the first waves of acceptances (ED1, EDII and Mosaic) are over and we have a little wait to find out about scholarships and then the RD decisions. Has been fun reading about those accepted to Mosaic. Congrats. Also, seems like very few - on CC at least - were accepted in the EDII round.

I am really not expecting my D to be accepted at Vanderbilt because it is so competitive and she was already deferred ED from Wash U, but since she has applied well, had an alumni interview, applied for CV Scholarship, I keep an eye on the threads. This is the only school on her list that we have not visited, and tbh, she may love it or not. It’ll be interesting to see it unfold. I am looking forward to seeing what happens with all schools she is waiting on. Best of luck to you all, especially those who are really loving Vanderbilt and hoping for an acceptance!

Does anyone know when the Chancellors and Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship decisions are released? And is attending MOSAIC a prerequisite for receiving it?

@nomorethan16 Those should be early March; No, MOSAIC is not a prerequisite for getting them.

She did go to Capstone Scholars’ Day. We were very impressed with all that Alabama has to offer! Were you guys there at Capstone Day, too?

@CTMorris1999 ^ above

@Bostonmom8 we went as well. We sat towards the back at the opening of the Scholars’ Day when we were introduced by a few speakers. There was a mom and a daughter behind us in the back row from Boston talking about BU/BC (not sure which one), and I just wondered if that might’ve been you guys!

@CTMorris1999 That was me and my daughter! She was talking about both of those colleges. Small world stuff! What did you think of the UA Capstone Day? Is it in the running for your son/daughter?

@Bostonmom8 I enjoyed the day, but I just don’t think U of Alabama is the right fit for me. It’s just too big for me! What about for your D?

It sounds like some people received Chancellor’s with their Mosaic invite. Maybe just CV comes out early March? @Pastpower

I read on an old thread March 5 -7 for CV

@CTMorris1999 My daughter loved Alabama but she has her heart set on a couple of colleges–including Vanderbilt. We’ll see what happens. Good luck to you!!

@nomorethan16 have all chancellor’s been sent out? If we do not get it, do we get a rejection email?

Not all Chancellor’s Scholars have been notified. More notifications to come in March.

Anyone know when Ingram Scholars are notified?

@Bella2018 From my knowledge they’ve already sent the finalist notifications/rejections out. Did you not get that email?

Nope. An I applied by the November 19th, and checked Chancellor’s and Ingram.
