Vanderbilt Student's Transfer Chances

I am a Vandy freshman who just finished my first semester at Vanderbilt. I am pre-med who plans on majoring in English. I was wondering what my chances are for transfering to Columbia for my sophmore year.

oh and my dad went to Columbia

^with a 3.55, you’ll have a hard time convincing Columbia to take you. with a 6% transfer acceptance rate, they usually look for 3.7+ kids from peer schools, and 3.9+ kids from easier schools. To have a decent shot you’d probably need a 3.7+ coming from Vandy. Scores are good, high school class rank is very low. ECs seem a little commonplace. It’s definitely worth your time and money to apply especially since you are legacy, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up if I were you.

^ bump anyone else?
