Vanderbilt Transfer Thread [Fall 2017]

didn’t get a decision back today either. now I’m extremely nervous…

so will tuesdays be the day for waves this year then?

@somehmonggirl You saw my stats right? And I still got accepted. Like I said, its probably easy for me to say it since I already got accepted but please don’t turn into one of those speculative people on CC that says that anything trivial that happens means they are rejected. You know this as well as I do that people got accepted even in May for Vandy. Don’t burden yourself with undue stress

@usualhopeful On the decision page underneath the Connect heading there’s a tab titled “Join the Vanderbilt Transfer Students Group on Facebook” which links to the right group.

This process is giving me major anxiety. Coming from a community college, I HAVE to transfer this fall. I can’t get a degree without transferring. So it’d be awesome if I could get a decision so I can get everything set up before it’s too late. Haha

@Mastodon97 you have to understand that i’m EXTRA scared to get optimistic bc i don’t want my dreams crushed like they were last year :frowning: i hope it ends up well but idk

Accepted, wlll be posting stats in other thread

also please post decisions in the decision thread guys

Did anyone that got an acceptance today submit the mid term report last week?

hoping more decisions will be out on friday like they were last year after the first wave

@fugazinikka I’m in a similar situation. When do you think you’ll get your decision?

Clocked up ~150 volunteer hours on my app since graduating HS, also got a part-time job. Volunteer work included: Homework helper for kids in a low income area, forest restoration, library assistant, part of an environmental grassroots activism organization.
Part of a very small honors program (about 4% of the entering class)
ECs: Not part of any clubs, but I explained why on my app (I commute + I had a class scheduled at the time that many clubs took place)
Essay: Pretty good (at least according to the grad student who helped me edit it in the writing center, lol)
Supplement: I felt it was great, and relevant to my academic interests
Teacher Recs: I didn’t see them but the teachers like me and know me well (they weren’t science professors tho)

Ethnicity: White (Middle Eastern)

@gottagetbetter01 I sent mine in just over a week ago. You should note that for Vanderbilt the midterm is optional.
