Vanderbilt Transfer Thread [Fall 2017]

No idea since they’re doing things differently this year, but if Tuesday was just a one time late start then there’d be a pretty solid chance for Friday portal updates

Don’t worry too much, it’s definitely above 16%! (And because UW-Madison is a FANTASTIC option)

i know, i just like the campus and environment better at vandy. madison is so big :frowning:

Yaaawn

Nothing yet.

hey does anyone have “enclousers” written at the bottom of their acceptance letter online? I do but idk what that means and I also do not have any enclosures??? can anyone help on this? thanks

Did Vanderbilt already put up the Financial aid for admitted students? Or will it still be awhile before they provide it?

@mahinja I got mine when I was accepted.

@mahinja I got mine when I was accepted but it may be based on when you submitted your financial aid documents/FAFSA.

Has anyone received a physical acceptance package in the mail or know if we should be expecting one?

Hey guys,
I’m not sure if this helps and I haven’t posted in this thread but I’ve been following it so I made an account to say this. A few days ago I called admissions asking for an extension past the may 2 deadline to accept my offer of admittance. What they told me was that (other than the fact that I could not get an extension) was since I was included in the first wave of admissions, my spot is guaranteed only until may 2. She said that after may 2, they will begin to offer more spots so the first wave spots are no longer “safe”. She made it seem that ON may 2, they are releasing the second wave of admissions. Not sure if this is true/helps, but I thought I would let y’all know. Good luck!

That’s interesting. Thanks for the info and congrats on getting accepted! @transfergirl1324

God I hope they release another wave before May 2nd

Agreed

is anyone still in shock and really excited about their acceptance decision??? I feel like i am so excited legit cannot do work

Same

Not sure that’s entirely accurate. They had the same system last year and still accepted people in a second wave before May 2. I doubt they accepted a full 210 people on Tuesday, and even if they did, they might overaccept already since they know it won’t be a 100% yield rate.

@transfergirl1324 Is the $400 deposit a binding commitment to attend in the fall?

So I asked for an extension because my family wanted to visit before committing. I asked what the consequence was if I put the deposit down, visited, and changed my mind, and the woman I was speaking with told me essentially the only consequence would be losing $400.

But only one applied engineering admitted on CC in the first thread. That’s strange if they have admitted full 210. @transfergirl1324

right, I’m not really sure if what she told me means anything but thought it would be valuable to say in here
