Vanderbilt Transfer Thread [Fall 2017]

mine was already rock bottom. Got rejected from cmu weeks ago lol…

@PsychPRC I wish him the best of luck!! That’d be great if he could meet you there.

There’s a decent chance we’ll hear back from them today but I wouldn’t be too surprised if it turned out to be this Friday instead.

Does anyone know what the rejection screen looks like??? Just trying to prep myself lol

@juliar95 if we know what the rejection screen looked like we wouldn’t be on CC and instead probably be crying lol

do we think its coming out at 4 today

we hope

@juliar95 If I had to guess, it’d be a brief message saying something like “We regret to inform you that we could not offer you a place in the Class of _______.” After that, probably some stuff about how competitive the pool was and how they hope for only the best with your future educational plans.

Basically, just them acting like there was nothing they could have done about it.

But let’s hope that none of us see that when we log into MyAppVU

Based on last year, if you don’t have a large video in ur portal, u r rejected xD

@inordie Simple enough. I wonder if it might be slightly different from the freshman result, though. Our admissions process is way different than theirs - a higher proportion of us will get in, transfer admission is rolling vs. released on a specific date, etc.

…So.

Are we moving on to the countdown phase or am I jumping the gun here? That part always makes my heart race </3

@AGoodFloridian I think it’s entirely reasonable that decisions could come in the next hour or so; a fact which is making me freak out a bit internally. I really want to get in to Vanderbilt.

Last year first reported was at 4:11. If we get to 5 without receiving decisions, I’m giving up till Friday.

On a side note, our thread has more pages than the “Official 2021 Discussion” for RD and ED applicants.

And it’s nearing the size of the EDI thread.

That’s actually pretty crazy… More action on the transfer thread than on the normal freshmen one…

It is nice to know that none of us wil prolly get a rejection today. So that somewhat alleviates my stress.

A new article on their blog about transfer orientation

@AGoodFloridian I think that’s because a few of us are really really active.

Yea lol. I think 80% of those pages are filled by half a dozen people

omg a new article regarding transfers!!! thanks for sharing ! i liked reading it and i’m getting pumped about it now!

I’m trying not to get too hopeful but I feel like the blog post is a good sign that they’re preparing for a wave of admissions.

what happened to that person who said they were going to go to admissions department? WYA!
