@JSPHHAN that is probably the second wave, which usually happens in mid April. However, they release decisión pretty late this year so we can get some waitlists tomorrow.
Anyone else finding the end of this semester incredibly difficult? It’s like high school “senioritis” all over again.
Instead of studying for a large exam tomorrow, I did the math to figure out I could just not show up the rest of the semester and still finish with a 70.5%! :))
@mjr2013 Having the biggest case of senioritis ever…I’d rather spend all day browsing CC then doing real work which will actually help my future lol.
@mjr2013 yes and no. Yes, part of me feels the same way. But no, because I will prolly send my final grades to Georgetown and I am thinking about going to grad school. But definitely much harder to get work done now then before
@mjr2013 Lol, one thing that’s helping me staying on track is definitely the hopelessness of my transfer. I will have to try next year, and to do that I need to maintain my grade xD
I have planned out my schedule for the next three years at penn based on different scenarios such as me dual-degreeing, double-majoring, etc. even though I’m not getting in
So yeah… xD #secondsemesteritis
to people who actually had good HS stats and applied to top schools the first time aroumd, is the freshman waiting game like this? I mean, out of HS I applied to some garbage colleges.
@inordie same, If I don’t get in this time, I will try again next semester. If I don’t get in next semester, I will try again for the fall semester.
@HopefullyIGetIn I didn’t have good HS stats, but I still applied to good schools due to my naive ego. I thought that I’d get in somewhere respectable, but that wasn’t the case because my stats sucked. I still clenched my butt when the decisions were about to come out…
@HopefullyIGetIn Yes. @inordie LOL, I also had terrible stats in high school and still applied to many TOP 20 schools. I got rejected by 15 colleges and don’t expect too much this time. XD
@ILR2020 Same with me. Gotta stay positive to keep my sanity. This is my first transfer try after all. Even if I get rejected from all 8 schools I applied to, I will have better knowledge about what to do, next time I try to transfer.
my hs stats were really bad, but i only applied to Belmont Vandy and NYU, got into Belmont (duh) and NYU (slight surprise) but rejected from Vandy. My HS stats btw: GPA 3.2 ACT 30 2 suspensions lol…
@somehmonggirl I thought you were waitlisted
@somehmonggirl
what did you get suspended for, you cant leave that out.
Guesing NYU was too expensive.
And I guesing you really like Nashville?
@limitsbylaw rejected freshman RD, waitlisted transfer last year
@HopefullyIGetIn lol fighting both times, and yes it was, and yes i do!
fingers crossed for decisions tomorrow. good luck everyone
I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who doesn’t like Nashville.
@Mastodon97 So true. I’ve never been, but I’ve heard nothing but great things; solid weather, good culture, great music - what more could you want in a city?
I havnt heard much besides wants on this forum and that its economy is booming. Also hopfully some of us will get decisions tomrow
It’s definitely one of my favorite cities. It’s so gorgeous there, nice weather, live music all the time, awesome places to eat (though I will say: a shameful lack of thai restaurants. like not a single good one.) a good size, and i don’t know I fell in love w Nashville and Vandy when I visited for the first time over a year ago and I’ve been back like three times since so that shows how much of a great city I think it is! Also I love Belmont, too. At least the campus, i’m not sure if it would be a good social or academic fit for me anymore. (rambling to think about something other than decisions…)
