@leefromOUA Wow! Who would’ve thought the one and only “Lee” would be joining us here on this thread. You were a tremendous help for all of us; I’m sure @TerrierNation didn’t have his feelings hurt too much. Congratulations on your graduation and best of luck to you as well!
oh my god this is like meeting a celebrity in real life
Oh god, the admissions counselors actually look at the college confidential threads? Must have been pretty hilarious to see everyone freak out about decisions being so slow to come out xD
Are we allowed to put a deposit to multiple schools? For example put in a deposit for a safety school and then if accepted to Vanderbilt then go to Vanderbilt?
@Anonymous615 I put my deposit down on Sunday and haven’t received the email regarding housing. Have you?
Additionally, if anyone else is in this same boat and has received their housing email let us know!
Are there any tours specifically for transfers? I don’t really want to sit around a bunch of angsty high school juniors asking questions about the admissions process.
@LookAtMe my email to set up my VUnetID was sent to me about 5 days after I submitted my deposit, however, I can’t seem to gain access to the housing portal yet.
when does the second wave come out??
@TerrierNation maybe it’s time to update your profile picture haha, congrats!
Question to all admitted transfer students that applied for financial aid, have you guys received the request from IDOC to upload financial documents yet? If so, did you guys pay the deposit already?
Does anybody know when the second wave of decisions should come out?
@LuckyMan123 I submitted my deposit already and just uploaded my financial documents to the IDOC portal last night.
How to submit the deposit? I can find it in my application portal. Is it binding? I’m still waiting for other decisions to drop.
@LSANGSU Click claim your spot on your portal and pay the fee, if you are pell grant eligible you can contact your admissions counselor and have it waived. Also, no, it’s not binding I’m waiting on decisions too but it isn’t refundable if you pay.
Thank you so much!
@mdeca12 So you can pay the deposit and then if you get accepted to a different school you can say that you are not going to Vanderbilt and go to the accepted school?
They should come out tomorrow. I called the office of admissions two weeks ago and they said they release decisions every two weeks (meaning tomorrow they will release the second set)
@Nomad413 Yes, exactly.
Has anyone heard anything else?
@butfirstcoffee Not yet… should be today around 5:15!
