Vanderbilt Transfer Thread

btw… Just got my decision letter today…

I WAS ACCEPTED! ■■■■!

I want to note… this is proof that hard work pays off. I failed out my senior year…two years later had an epiphany after I got kicked outta my house… decided to go to college…got my diploma in night school… applied to a good two year college… and worked my ass off. This is so unreal. Applied for Econ & Psychology

Some stats:
4.0 GPA based on 52 credit hours
President of the honor society
President of the business club.
STARS Leadership Corps.
SAT: 1150 (took in in 2004)
High School GPA: 3.0 weighted.

heyyyy i got my acceptance letter yesterday as well. hope to see you all at vandy woo hoo!!!

For those who got accepted. Did you first get an acceptance email?
I have got the acceptance letter from U of Michigan, who asked me to submit deposit. But I am waiting for Vandy…
Does anyone know when will be the last branch of acceptances/rejections?

Actually, I was able to call my regional admissions counselor inquiring my admission decision, and he told me I was admitted.
So maybe you should also try contacting your admissions counselor for your region. My admissions counselor just told me since decision letters were already being sent out, he figured he might as well let me know.

To chengzicc, I was never e-mailed. The acceptance letter in the mail has been the only notification I’ve had.

the accepted vandy transfers should make a facebook!

Where does everyone live. Anyone from California?

I live in Florida

Connecticut

northern minnesota.

Do you guys know what type of mail delivery they used? Or when it was postmarked?

Taco: my acceptance letter was postmarked April 11th and was sent using regular mail. Have you not received anything yet?

Don’t worry taco, the admissions office told me they mail out decisions every friday so I’m guessing yours should be coming in a couple of days

Did anyone get their financial aid package? I got mine yesterday, they give amazing financial aid!

^negatory on the FA package

Got my acceptance today. The letter was sent on the 21st, so it only took 3 days to get here, in Texas, which is pretty fast.

Did anyone else get an email saying they want to see your spring semester grades before they’ll make a decision? This is pretty much a no for me, because I’m pretty sure my GPA this semester isn’t going to be higher than my GPA last semester, which was on the low side =/

wow can you copy the email? and when did you get it

I’ve yet to hear anything, no emails, it’s crazy! Like my app was sent in January… And it’s not helping my confidence to see no rejections.

my coordinator went out of town and haven’t yet read my app. more wait ahead…

I just came home from abroad to get this,

BIGGEST SHOCK OF MY LIFE:

Congratulations! The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has approved your application for transfer admission to the College of Arts and Science at Vanderbilt University for fall 2009.

WOW!!! For all who have yet to receive a decision, don’t give up. I turned my application on the deadline and have a 3.54 GPA. I am literally still in shock. AMAZING. Good luck to all and congratulations to everyone accepted so far.

Still waiting on financial aid package.

Do you think they will be willing to extend the May matriculation deposit deadline? I doubt I’ll get my FA in time to reply because I am out of the mainland.
