i hope were all in the first batch!

I just read through last year’s transfer thread and it seems that a handful of students received decisions between the 15th and 17th. That said, I’d like to think many of us will receive a decision by next Saturday. Let’s hope!

I sure hope so! I think I can wait a week longer, but I get more nervous as every day passes. Oh well, all we can do is wait!

I hope I’m in the first batch but I’m concerned because my official test scores weren’t received until 31st of March. I thought that my high school had sent them with the rest of my materials, but something must have happened so I had to wait until my counselor was back from spring break to send them. It’s frustrating but those scores won’t make or break my application since they already knew my scores that were reported on my common app.

Based on last year’s thread, other applicant’s had similar issues and some decisions were in the first or second batch, so maybe I’ll get lucky. So many thoughts are in my mind and it’s adding unnecessary stress at this point lol.

i know like as the days go by i just doubt myself even more and more!

I hope they don’t do the whole spring grade report thing. I would rather get accepted or rejected. I don’t like wait lists

Yeah, waitlisted would be horrible. I was waitlisted last year at Vandy and they didn’t tell me until August officially that I was rejected. If I get waitlisted I’ll probably just say no thanks.

Same. I’m heading down there next week, so hopefully I get good news.

@Logan - Were you a wait-listed transfer or incoming freshman?

Edit: Just read your first post in the thread. You have a REALLY good chance.

Thanks! I really hope so. And looking at your stats, you have an awesome shot too. Really, a lot of people on this thread do. I think I’m going to email my counselor tomorrow asking if a decision has been made for me/if a letter has been sent.

Same here. If I get wait listed or get asked for a spring grade request I’m just going to move on…since I have some other awesome options to choose from.

where else is everyone applying to?

I applied to G’town and Cornell.

I think the fact that I’m already at my second college will hurt my chances at any school.

vandy, unc, richmond, colorado college, cuse

unc chapel hill, usc, nyu, barnard, wake forest

^Colorado College would be awesome. I lived in Colorado Springs and the campus is pretty nice. The city isn’t as flashy as Nashville is, but the surrounding area is extremely beautiful if you’re into outdoor activities. Plus, the block system they have seems pretty unique, and most of the students I know there love it.

yeah I haven’t visited it yet, but I deff will if I get in. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about it.

I also applied to Rice, Lehigh, Tufts, and Fordham…I’m planning on emailing my admissions counselor as well to see the status of my notification! I’m so anxious! Vandy is definitely one of my top choices!

I only applied to Vandy. I figured getting into Cornell, Northwestern, and Chicago would be a stretch, and I didn’t get that “I really want to be there!” feeling for any other school except for Vanderbilt. Plus, Vandy has great financial aid, and I couldn’t justify the expense of applications and tuition if I were to get in, so I figured I’d stick to one school. Guess that puts a lot more pressure on me, but hopefully I have a good chance, and it wouldn’t be the end of the world if I had to stay put.

I applied to Vandy, Wash U, Davidson, Wake and Boston College. Vandy is far and away my first choice. I am fine with staying at Occidental, but really want to go to Vandy. The wait is killing me.
