@Godric: I checked off the option that I would not receive admission without housing. (That was my issue when I applied as a freshman, I was accepted but didn’t receive housing because I live on Long Island and could easily commute) Just to clarify I’m talking about Fordham haha

@jhlee - If you’re in the first batch, you’ll be one of the first to receive a letter :)

@Chicago

Do you know what exactly would qualify as the ‘first batch’? I’m wracking my brains trying to figure that out. I mean, doesn’t your admissions counselor personally look over your application? Mine’s been out of the office since the 9th and won’t be back until the 18th. Does that mean mine won’t even be reviewed until after?

Going crazy here, man.

@godric,
Don’t worry too much. Maybe a decisions has already been made on your app.

why am I up this late?

@2013

Haha, I find myself askin the very same question. I’ve gotta be up at 9 AM, ah. And I’m going to pray that you’re right. :).

American got back to me and said I would recieve a decision by next week. Some good news there, heh.

Are they sending the letters to our home/school address?

Depends where you said to send them.

Seriously going crazy! I can’t wait until next week!

if you guys are worried about the weather, it’s really not that bad. i have lived in tennessee all of my life and have no desire to ever leave (or at least go north of here). i go to ut-knoxville right now, which is like 10 degrees cooler than nashville, but i survive.
summers usually stay in the 80s to low 100s. july and august SUCK because of the heat therefore the pool or country club is your bff, but you guys wouldn’t have to worry about that since you’ll be coming late august (i would bring shorts though it doesnt get cool until october). winters can get really cold here. for the past couple of years it has actually snowed a lot in tennessee! before that we would usually see maybe like one snowfall a year. spring and fall are the best seasons; it’s not too hot, not too cold. right now in knoxville it’s 66 and sunny, everyone is in shorts!.. if that’s any help.

5 DAYS UNTIL THE LETTERS ARE SENT!

^Cool. It’s hovering around 50 up here in Chicago.

50? that’s so cold for april.

i emailed my adviser about when decisions will be made, and she sent back an encouraging reply!
“Thank you for your email. We have indeed been hard at work reading transfer applications, and Committee met last week for the first time this year to begin to discuss some of the files. We have not yet mailed out any decisions, but we expect to send the first group out next week, with more going out each week after that until we finish. Hopefully your decision letter will be in one of the first groups, since your application was complete before the deadline. If you don’t hear from us within two weeks, do email me back and I’ll check on things!”

^Just curious, who is your counselor (if you don’t mind me asking)?

I wonder if I’m in the first batch. Most of my materials reached their office around the first, and only my college report was a few days late…

i want to go to vanderbilt so badly! im so anxious about it though because i have no idea if ill get in!

mary stevens, she’s the counselor for middle tennessee

i swear i was told that they were beginning to send out letters this thursday. good luck to you all, hope to see you at vandy :)

lol. At this point I have no idea as to when I’ll receive my decision letter.

i know me too! but every day that goes by i get more and more worried i wont get in

If I’m not in the first batch I’ll probably have a mental breakdown lol.

@ChicagoBears- yeah, i’m hoping that’ll be the case. If I do end up getting a letter, I’ll be sure to tell everyone that the first batch is out.
