Vanderbilt University Fall 2011 Transfer Thread

*All the way

Pac10 for me. UCLA basketball season tickets all my life so I will always be a UCLA bball fan.

Lets not forget UCLA holds the record with 11 NCAA basketball championships.

Lol sorry for the basketball talk…sports is just a great way to put off all the school work I need to do. If I get in I hope Vandy’s rec center is nice because I’m sure I’ll need it to blow off stress. I really don’t remember seeing it when I visited.

@SMH,

You probably already saw this, but here:

Thanks, 2013. Its been about 8-9 months since I’ve visited so some of the details are
blurry. It’s so beautiful there, and the atmosphere around campus is great. I really hope all of us are able to enjoy everything that Vandy and Nashville have to offer.

Let’s go post office, prove to me we shouldn’t cut money to you guys hahaha

Tomorrow HAS to be the day for some of us! I need to know now haha

@2013 - My current school is in the big east. You can find us at the bottom of the standings haha

I telephoned one staff member and she told me I got accepted. But when I emailed the admission office, they told me the decision for transfer has not been finalized yet.

I am confused. What is happening? >>

Can we transfer schools within Vanderbilt? Or is that only allowed of students who are there all four years? If I’m a rising soph, will I be able to switch?

@xszhang A similar thing happened to me a week ago! I called and the woman said “A decision has been made and its good news! Ill transfer you to your counselor because Im not allowed to tell you”. Then the counselor said thats not true and I wouldnt hear until may…

That’s really odd that people are telling you guys that you got in and that info conflicts with your admissions counselors.

Well, I wasnt told I got in but I was told it was good news. Then when I spoke to the counselor she was like no thats not true we havent made decisions yet and sounded really annoyed. That was about a week ago.

^I’m pretty sure you were accepted if a staff member said so. The counselor probably said a decision wasn’t made yet because technically they’re not supposed to give decisions over the phone or via email. Why else would someone tell you you’re accepted? I’m sure they saw or read something that indicated you were.

Maybe but no one said I was in she just suggested it was good news. I dont know. I feel like Vandys a reach for me so it was very confusing. I hope that is the case though. My counselor was just so convincing that they had not reviewed the applications yet. It was bizarre.

I think I need to call/email admissions too and see what happens/what they say…

You’ll get in Sarah vandy would be dumb if they didn’t accept you

Thank you I hope so  but I feel like it really could go either way. I think Vandy would be dumb if they didnt accept all of us! We all obviously truly care about the school and I hope they can see that in our applications!

That sounds like an awesome utopia lol
