Haha wishful thinking! Positive thoughts people, positive thoughts.

For all those who might get their decisions tomorrow I hope everything works out for you guys and ladies.

what exactly did y’all say when you called? Should I be like, “yes… I’m calling to see if my application is complete…” And hope they tell me more? :/

@Sarah - If the last few Vandy transfer threads are any indication, “good news” means you’re in. A counselor would not assure you of impending “good news” if you were to be rejected or wait-listed. That would be cruel! However, I can see why you’re skeptical since you don’t have an official acceptance in front of you. Once again, I’m not saying you were accepted but I’m almost certain you were.

Also, why do you think you’re a reach for Vandy? A 3.65 GPA and 31 ACT is very impressive!

@Kelough - I called today and the representative informed me that she could not give me any information over the phone. She could not even confirm if my decision had been mailed or not. To be honest, I’m not sure how some people in this thread received their information but I’m guessing it just depends on who answers the phone. I haven’t been lucky when I’ve called.

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking as well. So question guys… Is anyone else a legacy? My brother played football and graduated from vandy in '07. How much of and influence do you guys think being a legacy will be?

Sent from my SCH-I500 using CC App

@keloughr This was a week ago when I called and I just asked if my app was complete and when I could expect a decision.

@ChicagoBears Maybe but it was a week ago which makes me feel like maybe they really hadnt reviewed the app yet. I dont know it does seem weird that someone would suggest good news if there wasnt. I guess I just wont believe it till I see it. And I feel like my stats could go either way so Im trying not to get my hopes up.

Do you guys think Vandy puts a lot of stock in diverse backgrounds? I’m pretty sure I would be the only Assyrian at Vandy if this process culminated in a matriculation haha

I’m a legacy! My dad decided to go there a few years ago to get his Masters of Electrical Engineering and graduated in December!
I have a Psych exam tomorrow during the time that the mail usually comes to my house… I WILL answer my phone if my house number is calling me!

Me toooo! Haha, well I told my mom to text me and let me know either way… It’s safe to say that I will be checking my phone regularly tomorrow. Haha.

I’ll be in class all day too! I cant wait to be done with class tomorrow and come home and check my mailbox!

@chicagobears

a while ago i asked about diverse backgrounds to my admissions counselor and she said that Vanderbilt does look to attain a diverse campus community…i am 50% portuguese so i hope this is true for the both of us

I won’t get home until ~4 pm. I hope it’s in the mail! :)

I have class from 10-3:30 tomorrow, so I can’t even sleep the hours away. I have to be awake, anxiously sitting in class, and calling between every one. Why couldn’t they just email the decision?!

I’m 25% Japanese. Maybe that will work out in my favor ;)

I really really hope I don’t have to anxiously check the mail everyday all the way through early May. I don’t want to sound overly dramatic, but I think I’d consider that to be torture lol.

Im a blonde caucasian girl so the diversity thing doesnt really work in my favor unfortunately haha. I know @SMH I kind of already feel like this is torture! All the conflicting information is ridiculous. I just want answers!

yeah the diversity factor isn’t going to work for me either haha. I almost wish they had an interviewing process…that way they could see my sparkling personality. :D

I know, Sarah. I feel like there are at least 6 different scenarios that have been given to us from each counselor that has been contacted. We’re all pretty much in the dark for now.

Ha don’t get me wrong, despite having Japanese blood I’m still very caucasian due to the Irish side of my family. You’d never know that I’m part Asian by looking at me.
