Fantastic :). Congratulations again :D.

Dear xxxxx,

It’s difficult to determine when letters will go out since we make decisions on a rolling basis. We have released a number of decisions, but yours was not included in that group. I hope we can mail your decision soon, but it may take a few weeks.

Best,
my admissions officer

Mrrr. :(

CONGRATULATIONS! Thats so exciting! No letter here in NYC…

Did it come in a regular small envelope or a large package?

Few weeks? So much for the May 1st date.

@Keloughr

1.) When did you submit your application?
2.) When did your application become complete?

At the moment it appears the the super early submissions and completions are hearing first, something which indeed confirms that Vandy’s on a strict rolling basis.

I would absolutely agree with that considering I submitted my essay the night before the deadline, as well as overnighted everything to get there March 1st. I did speak with a lady in admissions who said I had priority, though. So hopefully this doesn’t drag out too much longer. Anybody else in the same boat as me?

@kmhow what size was the envelope: regular or large?

Only one person has heard so far right?

I think it came in a regular envelope. I don’t get to actually see it until tomorrow when I go home for Easter!

@Keloughr

Yep. A counselor told me that I wouldn’t know unil a couple more weeks after the 18th date. I’m looking forward to the W&M April 30th e-mail notification. I feel like if I get into W&M, then I’ll feel MUCH more confident about Vanderbilt.

If I don’t get into W&M, then… eh. :

I applied to Wake as well.

I want to get into Vanderbilt so badly. I really hope I hear tomorrow…

@Keloughr- I also submitted some of my stuff the night before the deadline and even had to resend some of my transcripts in the middle of march. I expect to hear about the same time as you. My counselor has not responded to my email about when I may get my letter.

@kmhow - I had a 3.94 UW in HS, 29 ACT, and currently have a 3.81 college GPA (49 quarter hours/32 semester hours). Obviously your HS and college are slightly better but that gives me hope! :)

CC threads GMH.

I’m actually going to Vanderbilt this thursday and will be staying in Nashville until Sunday. Do you think it is a good idea to go to the admissions office and ask for information about when I may hear from them, and when most people will in general?

Chicagobears, where are you transferring from?

@kmhow1- do you go to UTK? You mentioned UT and that you are from Murfreesboro

Yes I am in Knoxville right now!

And yes, my high school was a college-prep/parochial school in Nashville. I drove 30 miles every day to go there.

@qwerty - DePaul

@JoJo - Syriacs, Chaldeans, and Assyrians are basically the same people. The languages are almost identical with the exception of several words and phrases. That’s awesome though! Can you speak the language fluently?

@kmhow1- Do you mean the high school right next to Vanderbilt. The University School of Nashville? I’m not trying to pry or anything, just curious.
