Have the decisions arrived in a regular envelope or where they in a larger package?

It was a “package” envelope (nothing was folded) with Vanderbilt written on the left side. Nothing on the envelope indicated admission or rejection.

just got into USC so i hope to hear from Vandy soon

Got the good news from Vandy today! It feels like a weight has been taken off of my shoulders.

My letter came in a bigger white envelope with Vanderbilt written down the side.

My stats just for reference:
College GPA 3.74 through 81 credits, Biology/pre-med track
Various EC’s including athletics, some leadership positions in clubs, etc.
Not a ton of volunteer work
High School GPA was a 3.8-something weighted, 26 ACT

Good luck to everyone else! I hope you all hear back really soon!

You just made me feel a lot better about my chances as my stats are virtually identical to yours. The only difference is that I have a good amount of community service. Also I thought my essay was really cute so hopefully that helps ha. This is really bringing me a lot of anxiety though I wish I would just get any kind of letter so I can move on though.

^Sounds like you’ve got a great chance of getting in then lol. Yeah, community service was probably the weakest part of my app because I didn’t have anything that really made it stand out. Hopefully you’ll get your acceptance letter soon!

@SMH: Your stats are very very similar to mine as well! I have lots of community service as well. Definitely makes me feel more confident about not receiving a letter yet. :)

Congratulations! Thanks for posting stats, too :). I got into W&M today so I’m hoping I get in soon so that I can go to Vandy, God willing.

Called yesterday…still no decision made on my file! I need to know

@aburch1

I’m right there with you. They told me to call back later this week, and that there would hopefully be a decision made.

I’ve been lurking for awhile now! I was accepted on Thursday! I am very excited about Vanderbilt!

My Stats:
ACT 28
College GPA 3.7
My strong point was that my gap year. I attended DePaul last year, but I took a year off to travel. I taught English in Spain, backpacked throughout Morocco, Thailand, UK, and I volunteered in orphanage in Uganda.

Good luck to everyone!

Just got word yesterday I was accepted!!! I literally started crying a bit. Only downside to Vandy is that they do not have my sorority. But I’ll be talking to pan-hell about that… But I am so thankful/grateful that I got in. The college admissions process, the whole thing starting in high school, has been a struggle for me. I finally did not get screwed over by a college!

on a funny note- I got into Vanderbilt but denied from University of Virginia, how does that happen? lol

@ThatOnePVkid

Congratulations! Could you please post stats? Congrats again!

Anyone accepted from anywhere in Texas, yet?

HS GPA- 3.4ish (top 100 HS in the country though)
College GPA- 3.5 at Puget Sound
Extra circulars- played softball 10 years, varsity captain, HS yearbook editor/photographer, the biggest one in the country, national charity league, 3 letters of rec, 2 from college profs.,job during HS, job at college, worked at summer camp, president of a few club

I applied early decision to Vanderbilt when I was a senior and was denied, so that might have helped my application. And I applied as a Film Studies major so that might have also contributed.

Great stats! Do you know when your application was made complete?

I got everything in by mid-late February

Ah gotcha. Thanks for the info, and good luck to you!

ThatOnePVkid, Vandy has a higher transfer admissions rate than UVA, which would probably explain that, :).

@katy1234 - I’m coming from DePaul too!

getting pretty nervy over here…
called last monday and they said a decision had been made and would “undoubtedly” be sending my decision by friday (yesterday)
so nervous!
not even sure i really want to transfer anymore but if i got in i would have to give it serious consideration… i need to know!
3.3 college gpa but i’m hoping my tough classes, awesome essay and ethnicity (hispanic) will help me out…
are they need blind for transfers?
