Does anyone know how the waitlist works? Like do they have a priority list and does anyone even get off the list? Not sure if I have a chance…

Like all waitlists it will depend on how many admits actually accept their spots over the course of the decision waves. Then there will be some late movement because of shifting waitlist acceptances. Seems like most schools finalize everything by beginning to mid July.

Accept your best admit and see what happens with your WL options.

They review apps into the summer. So decisions will continue to be released as well during that timeframe.

yeah, i was not in the first round. i would assume it does not affect your chances of getting in, because i submitted all my materials before the priority deadline. kind of annoying considering i have to wait an extra three weeks.

How many essays were required? I only submitted one essay about why I wanted to transfer to Vanderbilt University (640 words) was that sufficient??

By essays, do you also mean the supplemental question. Bc there is the activity supplement.

@vanderbiltadmissions just posted a list of events for admitted students on their Instagram story and there’s an online info session for admitted transfer students on May 3rd. Does that mean they’re gonna release a majority of acceptances this week??

Interesting! I would think that means many, if not most decisions will go out this week. I did read on Reddit that accepted transfers in the first wave have to commit by 5/6?

Could be…could also be that either that’s for the first wave of admitted students and they’ll run subsequent sessions through out May or they expect all applicants to watch that one just in case you’re admitted later.

I’m hoping it means more decisions this week.
