You got into UNC with a 2.3 out of HS or did you make a mistake putting your Hs gpa?
im still in UNC with that GPA. Again, GPAs donât matter. Also can you just reply instead of making separate thread cuz im too lazy to switch. read the thread about what happened in my senior high school, and youâll get the idea of what happened
If u got accepted as a transfer to Stern, which is incredibly hard to transfer to, u obviously have a solid shot at Vandy. I mean ur rlly just seeking validation or something by asking us to chance u none of us can make an accurate prediction itâs a subjective process and we dont even know the full details of how applications are viewed. U know ur application more than we do and can make a far better assessment of ur odds than any of us. Regardless u already applied and its not like ur gonna withdraw ur application if some anonymous online trol l said u dont have a shot of getting in
4.0 at unc is an automatic in imo. i am also trying to look into transferring into vanderbilt economics in the near future. any advice on what i should aim for?
fair point, just wondering if my high school track record will bring me down massively
Anyone think decisions may be released tonight?
Hopefully!
I highly doubt they will be released tonight. Probs next week on wed/thurs
Is there any chance theyâll ask for second semester grades? Iâm a freshman and got a 4.0 at Umich first semester, and while my second semester grades werenât bad, Iâd obviously prefer a 4.0 to a 3.9 something
Youâre fine either way. A .1% drop in your GPA wonât be the reason youâre not accepted.
hey yall i am an incoming freshman to usc marshall. i want to transfer to vandy and was wondering how much does hs gpa matter. i slacked hard and my senior year gpa took a huge dip. is college gpa weighted more?
Your HS GPA will matter more if you apply to transfer during your freshman year because youâll only have 1 semester of college grades available.
Did anyone receive their decisions today?
ah crap. at usc marshall tho, will a 3.9+ gpa put me at good chances??
if you really did have a less than optimistic grade during hs, Iâd suggest you try staying at USC for two years and transfer as a junior. that way you can increase your chances of transferring with a strong college GPA, which is way important than your hs GPA.
Yes a stellar GPA will definitely help. And schools may give a little more leeway with HS grades due to Covid/remote learning etc⊠good luck with your apps!
Bro how did you get in UNC with 2.3 GPA
College GPA weighted more than HS gpa. Vanderbilt accepts far more incoming sophomores than juniors, so definitely apply as a freshman. You can always apply again as a sophomore if not accepted the first time.
i dont mean to be that person but theorizing whether you will get in or not is going to do nothing. if you want to, apply to vandy. worst case, you get rejected. your stats are not going to change.
