Definitely not. Your previous college GPA is on your permanent record there and your Vandy GPA commences at 0.0

anyone call the admissions office to see how many waves they have sent out? bc when i called last night they seemed to think only one was sent out

I just called and they said a wave went out yesterday and there should be additional waves, but didn’t have a date.

when they decide on honors during graduation, will my previous institution’s gpa be added up?

No. Completely separate.

Obviously, you can expound on something like this on your resume:
2021 - 2024 Vanderbilt University 3.7 GPA
2020 - 2021 XYZ College 3.9 GPA

Your work at the previous college doesn’t have to evaporate into the mist. It is just separate, like your high school GPA is separate from your college GPA.

I haven’t, still waiting for my scores to come out. I don’t know whether there are people like me who only gapped 2020 fall semester and only have one semester’s grades.

im so stressed out so im checking out this thread. i re-read the portal confirmation email and saw they say " the first admissions decisions are released late April and continue on a space-available basis. " i knew few people admitted in the first wave are all super over-qualified and declined vandy. idk if the people admitted in first wave are all overqualified but space-available basis honestly sounds bad for following waves.
