Waitlisted, CAS Political science… I am now thinking about how many applicants are there this year and how many wait-list they sent out? Hope our final decision will be soon posted as they claim they will in the decision letter.

I have a 3.96 and I’m still waitlisted, not sure what I did wrong. I thought I have decent ECs and essays

Apply as Biochem/Pre-med
very very decent ECs (one of my ECs got on to the news) with research experience
thought essays were ok/decent
Got into USC and Umich though so sad but not that sad just don’t know where I did wrong

Waitlisted today. I was supposed to be flat out rejected so I’m shocked and honestly, grateful.
I looked at last year’s transfer waitlist thread any literally NOBODY got off, oh well, guess I should probably move on.

I looked at 2019 and they didn’t take any of the posters off the waitlist either. Doesn’t seem like there’s much of a chance. Guess that first wave was most of the acceptances and they’re just keeping us dangling for who knows what reason.
ETA: remember this is a small sample size so there could have been people who did get off the WL but they weren’t posters on CC. Personally I think odds of getting of any WL are always a bit low.

I was waitlisted at Vanderbilt yesterday as well. At least I was already accepted to UCLA, so I will be paying my deposit soon. I think I would go to Vanderbilt over UCLA, but UCLA is very appealing as well. I am glad the decision from Vanderbilt is over, but being on the waitlist feels like even more torture! I just want a final decision already.
