@altonm I received it on Monday!
@orchid5 I’m applying math major. Thank you so much!!!
Accepted CAS Neuroscience Major!
How does Vanderbilt’s rolling admission process work? It seems some people who applied early still didn’t hear back
@wwkkmm From what i’ve seen, the “rolling admissions” claim is bs and its fairly random. I think they accept people early on with the highest GPAs then slowly accept the lower rated people. But obviously i dont know for certain.
Yeah, there seems to be very little connection between when you apply and when you hear back. From what I’ve seen, there are people that applied early, but still haven’t heard and people that applied after the priority deadline that have. And there are people that have been wait-listed so, yeah, I have no idea.
International transfer. CAS math Waitlisted.

highest GPAs

That can’t be right because my GPA was only a 3.5 and I was still accepted.
@kowsboy9
I sent in my application on night of the (priority) due date and was accepted last week, so you’re probably right.
does anyone know of anybody who has been rejected? I dont think anyone has posted that they’ve been rejected, but i highly doubt they havent rejected anyone yet.
Hey guys! My portal just updated to show Peabody Fall 2016, but there isn’t any congratulations or waitlist or rejection or anything. For the application status, it just says “complete”. Did anyone else’s change?
I was rejected for Peabody today. Sucks that all of my reach schools send out first. Oh well.
I also emailed my counselor to thank her for her help throughout the process, as I feel that’s the right thing to do.
@altonm Thank you for updating us despite receiving a less than favorable decision. Best of luck to you with your other schools.
Accepted as Math on Friday!
Currently a sophomore in a Top 40 university with decent stats.
Message me if want to know more about my stats.
Also any rising junior who has already confirmed the admission?
I would think that transfers are accepted depending on major. If all transfers applying to engineering have the highest GPAs, I don’t think they can accept them all. There are only so many openings for each school. They are looking for people who will fit the openings available. If incoming freshmen and upperclassmen fill all the slots in the engineering school, there will be no transfer admits. Don’t think it has anything to do with who your counselor is (unless they’re on vacation) or the date you got the application in (unless it was late). It’s the same with regular decisions … After the ED slots are filled, the regular admits are chosen based on fit of the remaining slots. Good luck everyone! My daughter is a sophomore in Peabody and is very happy at Vandy. She is planning on going abroad to Florence in the fall.
@00phelia do u mind sharing your stat. I also applied to CAS as chemistry but haven’t heard anything back.
Anyone hear anything today?
at least for me, nothing so far. this is nerve-wrecking!
In case if anyone’s curious, I was accepted (my portal) last Friday and just got an email earlier today that my decision was available. My Financial Aid result hasn’t come out though. The letter says that I have to respond in two weeks, but my portal says that I have to respond in one week.
Anyone accepted last Friday/today has heard back about FA?
Has anyone heard from Allison Key ?
@applicant1000 I also have Allison Key. But haven’t heard back. I emailed her she told me it’d be at least a couple of weeks
