Vanderbilt University Transfer Thread Fall 2016

Before applicants under her jurisdiction get decisions ? @TNIU94

@applicant1000 yes

@TNIU94 Maybe this is just me but I do wish they were more prompt with decisions. Im trying to make concrete decisions for next year and i constantly have to dig my heels in the ground waiting for Vanderbilt… I hope it’s worth it.

@applicant1000 I know right! Same here. I don’t know what to do anymore other than waiting. I really wanna take few classes over the summer at my current school, but what if I get good news from Vany. Basically, so far I have no plans for my years ahead

@applicant1000 Also have Allison Key and haven’t heard a thing…I feel like spaces are filling up already…

I don’t understand the delay… they have already accepted and denied other students…I don’t know what they are waiting for. It’s adding a lot of unnecessary stress to a lot of people.

I was just admitted today,CAS undecided. Here are my stats:

Anything else: I was rejected from University of Michigan and wait listed at UNC chapel hill so this was kind of a surprise.

@ezak9596 what time did you find out?

Has anyone successfully applied for housing yet?

Does anyone know the transfer acceptance rate for 2015? Or possibly for 2016?

Do you enter as a sophomore or a junior?

The transfer acceptance rate of Vandy is pretty high among TOP 20 Universities. I remember it was approximately 30% for 2015

@00phelia Do you also have the total number of transfer applicants who applied to Vandy by any chance?

https://virg.vanderbilt.edu/virgweb/CDSD.aspx?year=2015 I think this is the official data

@00phelia thanks for the infor!

@Applicant1000 I finally committed to my safety school because I can’t afford to wait on Vanderbilt any longer or I’ll miss out on all housing options. I wish I hadn’t even applied because now I missed the priority housing and an early commit scholarship. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they take so long and that schools have so much variance in notification dates.

I was just admitted as last Friday so I figured I would post my stats.
