Vanderbilt University Transfer WAITLIST Thread 2019

Hey guys!
So we all got waitlisted…There’s still hope! Vanderbilt saw your application and said it was interesting but they need some more time to think…So, lets keep supporting each other, let each other know if we get off the waitlist, maybe give stats and the college to which you applied to as well. Here, I’ll start:
College I applied to: Peabody
High school GPA: 3.51
College GPA: 3.92
SAT/ACT: 1440
Here’s a template so you can copy paste if you’d like!

Good luck everyone!

I can see they pretty much waitlist the people with similar stats.

Here’s an interesting article…
I believe I read somewhere that they accept about 8% off their waitlist. I don’t remember which year. But keep hanging on guys! You all look good right now!

Decent amount of leadership and extracurriculars.

Also, the waitlist was closed July 10th last year. It sounds like they started admitting people from the waitlist in early May. So we could hear back in as little as a couple of weeks to as late as almost three months from now.

unfortunately it seems like almost everybody was waitlisted so I am not super hopeful about getting off

Seems like Vanderbilt waitlists a large portion of candidates. But hopefully, there are enough students declining admission offer to leave space for us.

College GPA: 3.6
SAT: 1400 superscore
Campaigned for VA Governor Northam, President of MUN in college, President of History/Philosophy Bowl, and College Honor Court Prosecutor.
I probably won’t get in off the waitlist since I am in a pretty low ranking college… but who knows.

I have plenty of extra curricular and different honors. However I suffered a loss in my family so my grades dipped in the beginning of second semester which makes me terrified of non-admittance. Does anyone know if the waitlist is different than the rolling admission?

transfer- to sophomore?

does Vandy accept junior?

Yes, I apologize. I am applying as a sophomore.
