Vanderbilt vs. Villanova vs. Northeastern

I was accepted into all three of these universities, but now I am having a really tough time deciding! I want to major in chemical engineering. At Northeastern I am being offered a spot in the Honors College and a 20k/year scholarship, but no benefits at Vanderbilt and Villanova. Help!!!

Unless finances are an issue, Vanderbilt wins by a mile academically

My daughter also got into all three of these, with money from both Northeastern and Villanova and no money from Vanderbilt. We opted for the prestige of Vanderbilt, but, let me tell you, it’s really expensive! If money is no object for you, then Vanderbilt is the best choice of these three but, if money is a concern, I would write it off and go with the best school that gives you money.

I agree with timetodecide12…ref finances…what do your parents say? Hard to give up money but on strict academics Vanderbilt wins. So, it really comes down to NE & $$ or Vandy and ask for $$$ …couldn’t hurt to ask!

Vandy>>>>>>>>>Villanova=Northeastern.

Thank you everyone for your opinions! I am personally leaning towards Vandy and I am really hoping my parents allow me to go there. It will be hard to turn down the money from Northeastern, but NEU wasn’t what I was really looking for in a school… the co-op program is great and the honors college is an amazing opportunity but the campus is very urban and integrated with the city which I don’t really like. Also-William and Mary is another option, but if I went there I would have to participate in a 3-2 program with Columbia in order to get an engineering degree. Thoughts?
