<p>I was wait listed for Vanderbilt's class of 2010. Does anyone know the chances of getting in or stats from previous years? According to their letter, Vanderbilt will "anticipate being able to offer admission to a number of students on (their) waiting list." With the admitted rate at 16.3% of the applicants, how many students are on the waiting list and how many will get in?</p>

<p>It varies from year to year depending on yield. Sometimes it is as few as 20, other times, it as many as 200. You really have no way of truly knowing. But it is very likely THEY WILL go to the waitlist at some point this spring.</p>
<p>However, last year they had 1770 students accept the waitlist, and 117 got in, so it’s not something to pin your hopes to.</p>
