I GOT IN!!!
Congratulations to those who got in! Did you receive an email or did you just have to log in to the portal?
Got in, received an email
@nicolasdeadman Congrats!
Hope all the rest of us who didn’t get in this time, will ride the second wave of waitlist admissions!
When do you estimate the second wave will be?
What school did those of you that get admitted to apply to? Were there any admissions to the College of Arts and Science?
@lizardthicket112 I would estimate next week, since that has been the trend for the last 2 years.
College arts and sciences
Acceptance came via email, and it is also on the portal. Applied to Peabody.
I applied to the College of Engineering and got in!! Super excited!!
@nicolasdeadman @AltKid @totoro102 Did you get any financial aid?
We write with the exciting news that we are prepared to make you an offer of admission to the Class of 2022 if you are interested in receiving this offer, and if you plan to attend Vanderbilt next fall. We are thrilled that you have remained active on our waitlist, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to build the next great Commodore class.
By 11:59 PM Central Time May 5, you must log in to your MyAppVU portal to indicate whether or not you would like to receive an offer of admission from Vanderbilt. You must respond as quickly as possible, but no later than May 5. If you do not respond by May 5, we will assume that you are no longer interested in attending Vanderbilt, and we will close your admission file. If you indicate that you would like to receive an offer of admission from Vanderbilt, you will receive official notification of admission on your MyAppVU portal immediately. If you have applied for need-based financial aid, any award package for which you qualify will also appear on your MyAppVU portal.
Once your official notice of admission appears on your MyAppVU portal, you must claim your spot in the class within 72 hours of the date of the offer of admission by completing the short online matriculation form and submitting your matriculation deposit (or requesting a matriculation deposit waiver, if applicable). While you will also receive by mail hard copies of both the offer of admission and your financial aid award (if applicable), you must claim your spot in the class within 72 hours via your MyAppVU portal. The admission packet you receive by mail will also contain our Open 'Dores admitted student brochure.
If you remain interested in attending Vanderbilt, we look forward to inviting you into the class! If you have decided to attend another university, we wish you every success in your college career.
If you have additional questions you should contact your admissions officer.
I GOT PRACTICALLY A FULL RIDE!
I love the way that Vandy uses its waitlist. So exciting for everybody here! You will LOVE the school
West coaster here (CA)… anyone get an acceptance email on the west coast? Curious if the emails are sent out a little later here
yup
You got in? What state if you dont mind me asking
Accepted in GA to Peabody!
Can the people that got in explain what they did after they found out they were waitlisted? Like in terms on letters of continued interest, or other forms of communication, or if you just waited lol. Congrats to everyone though!
Daughter disappointed to not be in first batch off the WL but remains hopeful. She noticed a change to her Fin Aid tab where the blurb about the IDOC is gone and only Valid Federal Application Data and CSS profile info remains. Not certain what this means. Any thoughts?
Congrats to all the new Commodores!!
^Yes, I was just about to say that. My thing about IDOC is gone as well. I don’t know what this means!
