Has anyone heard any information!!! Usually they send out a message asking if you want to remain on the waitlist after a wave hits. I have not received that? Was there a wave last week?

that 2nd wait list confirmation email - but no one taken off WL.

Haven’t heard about a 2nd wave or a 3rd interest email… hoping for a wave today ig but was also hoping that all of last week… starting to lose hope at this point

Vandy Parent here (daughter is a rising Senior in Peabody) … it was just announced that Vanderbilt WILL be requiring a Covid Vaccination in order to attend in-person classes in the Fall 2022

I guess email/call Admissions? They’d probably say if over enrolled or will be accepting from waitlist.

Tbh probably. Looking through past years, it’s never been this long between a continued Interest email and the next wave.
The common advice is to fall in love with the school you’re committed to. Waitlists aren’t moving much this year it seems. We’ll all be okay regardless

Yeah, that’s probably true. Do you think it would hurt to ask my AO about the waitlist though?

Couldn’t hurt to email a short sentence to AO since they seem nice - and all you want to know is if they’re using WL again and when. You’re not asking about your specific application, just basic general info.

Yes please let us know if they say anything. I’m losing so much hope but it’s okay ig. Nothing we can do if they are over enrolled. I just remember them saying right after the first wave that there would definitely be a second wave so who knows.

I’m wondering if their announcement regarding the covid vaccine will change things. I’ve heard of a few people withdrawing from schools that have made the mandate.

Definitely think the vaccine mandate and surge of Covid in Asia and uncertainty of some international students being able to attend is keeping the waitlist in a hold pattern.

This is becoming really frustrating but I guess we have no choice but to wait. I just wish they’d release more info and keep us more informed.

Yea, I don’t want to freak anyone out since these are two different colleges, but I just got my waitlist update from Colby saying they were closing admissions and not extending anymore offers. Either way we shouldn’t give up. Even if I don’t make it on this round. They’ll see me again as a transfer prospect!!!

Do we think that anything is going to happen with this? Because Vanderbilt’s waitlist is usually pretty good for a T20.
