do you guys think theyāll close the waitlist soon?
No not yet.
Did you hear back?
Maybe. Last year they didnāt close it until the end of July, but there was seemingly a lot more movement throughout June (or at least posted on reddit & CC). I think Vandy likes to keep the waitlist open for a while even after the class is basically full (I guess just to make sure?) Seeing as how quiet things have been I wouldnāt expect much more movement if any.
Has anyone removed themselves from the waitlist?
Is it acceptable to ask my AO to advocate for my acceptance or is that too much?
I do not think that would be appropriate and at this time AOās are not deciding as it up to the admissions team. I think it is time to move on.

No I kinda just applied to apply. I wasnāt a fan of the campus. I didnāt even submit a LOCI or anything. I just pressed the accept waitlist and forgot about it.
Yeah, the UCās donāt care about LOCIās (and some like Berkeley donāt even accept them.) Honestly even with all schools Iām not sure how much they care about them. The one private school I got off the waitlist for was the only one I didnāt submit a LOCI for, lol.

There are others still open, but not that many. Iām still on the Northwestern waitlist and I have friends on Penn & UMich waitlists.

well now the northwestern and umich waitlists are closed. maybe vanderbilt will be soon? all of this waiting is not fun
