Vanderbilt Waitlist 2027

Bachelor of Arts, Psychology

do you guys think theyā€™ll close the waitlist soon?

No not yet.

Did you hear back?

Maybe. Last year they didnā€™t close it until the end of July, but there was seemingly a lot more movement throughout June (or at least posted on reddit & CC). I think Vandy likes to keep the waitlist open for a while even after the class is basically full (I guess just to make sure?) Seeing as how quiet things have been I wouldnā€™t expect much more movement if any.

Has anyone removed themselves from the waitlist?

Is it acceptable to ask my AO to advocate for my acceptance or is that too much?

I do not think that would be appropriate and at this time AOā€™s are not deciding as it up to the admissions team. I think it is time to move on.

Well I just got off UCSBā€™s waitlist lol

Congrats, UCSB is a great school! Would you go? Where are you already committed?

No I kinda just applied to apply. I wasnā€™t a fan of the campus. I didnā€™t even submit a LOCI or anything. I just pressed the accept waitlist and forgot about it.

Yeah, the UCā€™s donā€™t care about LOCIā€™s (and some like Berkeley donā€™t even accept them.) Honestly even with all schools Iā€™m not sure how much they care about them. The one private school I got off the waitlist for was the only one I didnā€™t submit a LOCI for, lol.

do you guys know if any other waitlists are open too or if vanderbilt is just an anomaly?

There are others still open, but not that many. Iā€™m still on the Northwestern waitlist and I have friends on Penn & UMich waitlists.
