I'd like to apply to Vandy in the fall. These are my stats:

H.S. GPA: 3.8
SAT: 1350
ACT: 29
ECs: 4 years volunteering, 2 years technical theater
Took AP Chem, AP English, AP Spanish, and AP Euro, along with some honors courses

College
GPA: 3.79
Major: English (Creative Writing concentration)
ECs: Contributor to school newspaper

What should I do to become a more competitive applicant? And, just a quick question about the Common App: since I only have 1 EC for college, should I list some ECs from high school as well, or are they irrelevant since I'm now a sophomore in college?

Yes, I took the 50% acceptance rate into consideration…but I’ve read on this forum that they’re going to cut down on the number of transfer students accepted, so that’s unsettled me a little.

I am also very interested in Vandy. Do you know about what GPA you need to have a likely admission? Also, how much do they weigh high school for junior level transfers? Sorry to split from the topic a bit but I thought you might have come across this in your research thanks
