Vanderbilt's unique financial aid program.

<p>I can't grasp the idea of replacing all loans with grants/scholarships. Does the replacement of assistance mean that they will pay my demonstrated financial need for four years and not have me pay it back, or am I dreaming? I'd appreciate it if someone could expand on this and make it a bit clearer regarding what the Expanded Aid Program is and how it's better. I mean, can attending vandy really cost me just 10K/year?</p>

<p>Yes, that is what it means...well, actually, it means that they will meet 100% of your need -- as they define it -- with grants, plus your summer earnings and possibly work study. But, it is not unique. Dartmouth and other colleges have also gone "no-loan."</p>
