Vandy Early Application

Where do I apply early? I am a starting junior, have taken the ACT (32) and have a GPA of 3.6-3.7. I would like to raise my chances of being accepted to this school so I would like to apply early. How do I do it? Will it raise my chances? Will I have an obligation to go to the school if they agree?

Thanks!

If you apply early, then you are bound to Vandy. However, it dramatically increases your chances of being accepted. If you want to do this, then you just fill out an additional one page form (on Vandy's admissions website) that takes about 5 minutes to complete. You submit it with your complete application by Nov. 1.

make sure vandy (or the specific school within vandy) is where you want to be. that should be the pre-rek to applying early.

So if I apply to such a thing then I am bound to it? That is ridiculous. What if it costs too much, I don't have a choice?

thats actually the only feasible loophole out of ed. but do not bank on that, the school will do EXTENSIVE financial background checks if you claim you cannot afford the cost of living/tuition. make sure vandy is in the ballpark or immediately get in contact with your schools counselor and a vanderbilt advisor.

Well, I can afford it easy, so that is not a choice I guess. Why would anyone apply for such a thing? What's ED? Is there any other way of having better acceptance.

umm ed= early decision. it lets the college know that they are your number one choice and that you will attend if admitted. the "early" part means that the application is due sooner (usually early november)
