Hello Fellow CC's :)
I have my vandy interview on Thursday and was curious if anyone had any tips? (:

Are you interviewing with a local alum or someone in Nashville? Our S has his interview next week. So, from a parent’s perspective: know the school, read the website cover to cover, don’t ask questions that are answered in their materials/web, look nice, firm handshake, smile, be yourself, think through your strong points and be able to articulate them, why Vandy?, books you’ve read, experiences that have had an impact on you, etc. Good luck!!!

Be yourself. It’s as simple as that.

MY s applied rd to vandy. How did you secure your interview? We live in NY.

My s also applied RD to Vandy and requested an alumni interview 10 days ago.
He clicked on a link that didn’t work, and then sent an e-mail to Admissions, but has not heard back. Any suggestions? Does an interview make a difference in admissions decisions? Thanks!

If no one has replied from admissions side, you should contact them through phone. I don’t know about how much the weight of an interview will influence an applicant’s decision by the ad panel, but it does demonstrate an interest in the university if one has the time and resource to plan it out.

Do you even have to interview to get into Vandy?

^^ No, the interview is completely optional.
