I’m at PAVE right now, halfway through it.

@futurepres: If you’ve taken all those classes, then PAVE shouldn’t be too hard for you… But I wouldnt’ go as far as to say you won’t learn anything. You’ll learn new stuff, but you’re lucky that you already have a basic foundation. The math classes are a lot about vectors and later you might get into calculus, and the computer classes focus a lot on a program called MATLAB. The science elective lab things are whatever direction you choose. There are three of them total, one every two weeks.

There aren’t like special “dorm parties” that are organized, but there is free food in the dorms every Wednesday night, and some people create mini parties of their own. There’s this one room in the basement with a huge projector screen and lots of beanbags, and people have parties or movie nights in there almost every night. And you could always go party downtown, lol. No one cares if you just hop on a city bus and go somewhere. There’s a form you’re supposed to fill out, but no one really does it. You only get in trouble if they find you drunk or high or something.

@abcecex3: After I got accepted, my mom sent them an email asking for financial aid. It was my job to actually apply to PAVE, but parents took care of financial aid. I did get some, but only like $500 off a price of $6000 total. So I know there is financial aid but it’s not too substantial. Sorry I couldn’t help more, but I can’t remember exactly how parents got it.
