VANDY seeking diversity..?

I hear Vandy is seeking diversity in terms of their admissions procedure to really make it seem like a lesser southern caucasion predominant school.

I was wondering if being Hindu, male, born in India is considered a 'hook'. I realize for many other colleges, this would not be a significant minority hook, but would it work at VANDY?
thanks.

Yes..
Me a born Korean and lived in Korea till the middle of my Highschool was accepted despite of the weak SAT scores. However, I think you have to have higher grades also. It might be unwise to hope for admission solely on minority status. For example I had a weak score in SAT a said above but I showed them some academic performance.
I took 6 AP's and almost all A's during the 11th and 12th grade. I had few EC's but personally, it was not that bad. I also took account of English as a second language to me.

So I think that it can be counted on your admission but it won't be the sole factor to get admitted into Vandy.

P.S. Eventhough Vandy is seeking diversity, there was a few Koreans and Asians during the SAOP. I diversity in Vandy will be low even though Vandy is trying for it.
