you have to formally accept first

score...i got a 3.4 :) i am going officially

YAY!! I'm excited! Have you other guys officially decided to transfer? ...Cause you should :)

I have still not made a decision, Mal. This past week has probably been the worst decision of my life! Ha it's been terrible! I am in the midst of finals right now, up until the 11th, so they gave me a week extension on my decision... Hopefully I will reach a decision SOON!

i got my email!

Me too...I joined the Vandy facebook network in 1 second flat, haha

Yay! I got in and got a 2 week extension so I won't have to decide until June 01.

I'm thinking of transferring for 08'-9.
What was everyone's HS College stats?

Out of curiosity, how was financial aid for transfers?

Um financial aid... pretty bad for me personally. That said, my EFC was really high and I know that academically I wasn't in tip-top shape for a merit scholarship, so I didn't expect anything.

Doegerle, no one responded to your question, sorry!! Here's a brief rundown of my stats:

H.S. gpa: 4.0 uw, 4.3 weighted
SAT: 1240 (640 verbal, 600 math)
ACT: 29/retook in college for a 31
ECs: The usual stuff: tutoring kids at a local elementary school, theater, choir council, team captain for mock trial, babysitting

College transferring from: Ohio University honors program (200 kids out of 12,000 total undergrad)
College gpa: 3.89 after 1 1/2 years
Good recs from the dean of the honors college and one of my honors professors
ECS: theater, theater, theater, choir, campus crusade for Christ.

You don't have to be saving the world to get in, lol. Sometimes I feel like people think they're not worthy on this board if they don't speak 3 languages or feed starving children in Africa (not that it isn't commendable, lol). Just make sure to really excell at your current school, get to know your professors, and really show who you are on your application and why you think you belong at Vandy. Good luck!
Mal :)

Thank you, hopefully I'll be as fortunate as you all with your acceptances.
