vANDY v tULANE

Hello everybody. I was wondering, what school is better, vandy or tulane. The reason why I aski is becasue I am interested in both. However, I want to know if i am wasting my time applying to both schools. I was priority candidacy for tulane, but vandy has been mailing me like crazy. plus both schools cost is outrageous. I just need to narrow my list down, and it is between these two. so whyich one is better. Which one do i have more of a shot at.

can sumbody hewlp mi pleeze

You will have a MUCH better shot at Tulane (you are in), but Vandy is without a doubt the better school.

Ditto slipper1234's comments --

Trip that.

do i have a good shot at vanderbilt

from looking at your stats, no you do not have a good shot at vanderbilt...you have a much better chance at getting into tulane but i agree with the other posters that vanderbilt is by far a better school....so unless you have a hook to get into vandy your chances arent that great

Ehhh is there a good place to borrow some money as an international student? I'm discouraged to apply to vandy because I don't have any money... 1370 SAT 3.9 GPA top 10%

beramod, dont steal my thread and use it as yours. if you want my opinion, i think you should shove your stats up your.......

wow, gatechboy, i think you need to chill out

Its totally worth applying, its a moderate reach though.

lol, just kidding. i just wanted to see what the other dude would say

good chance at both. Same feelings as others about schools

Yeah.. this dude says that unless your black, you have ZERO chance... but you are, arne't you?

beramod that was just really f-in stupid

vanderbilt is by far a better school but you have a really small chance of getting in.. tulane is still a pretty good school and its within your reach.

as an african-american, it really helps you out, Vandy's a reach, but a reasonable one

My stats were a lot better than yours and I was deffered from Tulane. I am a black male from MS with 30 ACT and 3.5 gpa and a rec from a professor and salvation army volunteer of the year. I was a priority applicant for Tulane also. Being black isn't going to help that much unless you have an awesome essay or groundbreaking community service or research up your sleave. You have a shot at Tulane more so than Vandy which is the superior school but don't put Tulane in the safety column.
