<p>I’m not going to argue Barron’s points…or the consultants points. But is worth noting that the report was completed 6/07, almost 6 years ago. Much can happen in that time frame. I’m not saying that some of that is not valid. I’m just questioning the use of a 6 year old study. Some of these points may be more pronounced, some improved, new ones to consider.</p>

<p>I’m a huge proponent of UVa and think Vandy is a fine institution as well, but unless you have visited and really disliked the campus (I mean REALLY disliked) I would strongly consider USC. That’s a great opportunity!</p>

<p>President Sullivan made essentially the same remarks last year, that the faculty in some areas was not up to par with the reputation. It would not be too hard to check depts of interest and look at faculty lisitng and CV. You would see any new hires, etc.</p>

<p>Barrons - I’m curious why It was necessary to link three sources to make your point. I know you can’t stand to pass up the chance to bring down UVa for some reason unknown to me, but I never understand the overkill.</p>

<p>You questioned using 6 year old data. Just providing comprehensive reply for you. We get so many unfounded opinions around here about this is great and that sucks. Well, here we have some real expert opinions by those with no axe to grind.</p>
