I also have 2 brothers that graduated from Vandy last year and 1 sister up there now.

Do I have a good chance?

dude you have more then a chance, i think you will definelty get in, i don't get however why your weighted gpa is so low when you took all those classes and got good grades, by the way how can you play 5 varsity sports, including football and soccer in the same season. but if those are true, then you have probably a 99.9% chance.

yeah i got 3 B's in total so those kinda hurt me, but i'm not sure if its really that low it may be higer. Haha well i didn't play all of them at once, i played varsity football for 3 years, soccer for 2, baseball for 1, cross-country for 1, and JROTC raider team for 2 lol
But thanks man

help a bro out lol BumPPPPPP

You should raise your ACT Score to at least a 30 or 31.

You should get in ED.

The 27 ACT hurts, as do the Bs in AP courses. You did not list the scores for those APs... right now it appears between the 27 and the Bs and the unlisted AP test scores that you're not statistically a Top 20 student.

However, I notice Spanish Club. If you are hispanic, a URM, add 3 ACT points and .3 to your GPA... at those stats you have a great shot of getting in. You say you have two recent Vandy grads in the family, and one current student. How do your stats compare to theirs? That is your best predictor.

Which also raises the legacy issue as to how much weight your family's multiple legacies count toward admission. I think that when all factors are considered--such as leadership, class rank, GPA, legacy status, applying ED-- that the OP will be admitted ED to Vanderbilt. Please keep us updated. And I do realize that I am using the term "legacy" in a generous, somewhat non-traditional fashion. But I would be surprised if Vandy let an average ACT overshadow the many strengths & accomplishments of this applicant. In, deserves to be in & will do well.

Thanks Coldwind, thats how i'm thinkin.
But DunninLA i got 1 B in an honors course 9th grade and 1 B in an honors course 10th grade, and then got only 1 B in an AP course 11th grade. I'm not hispanic, i'm african american which should help as well.
But thanks for the comments

just a chance? Pack your bags you are in!
but just to be sure, maybe consider retaking the act once?
