<p>I used to have my mind set on going to Yale, then I realized that I could never get in. So I lowered my standards to NYU (which is still a nice school), and my stats are in range, but then I realized that I would never pay 60k a year to study journalism. I’ve compiled a very satisfactory list of “safer” options, so I’m not that disappointed! There are so many great schools out there, not all of them can be a top 30 college :p.</p>

<p>@jonnathan: Some people bump threads where the posts are as much as more than several years old. Imagine, the people who posted in those threads when it was active have already graduated college and entered the workforce.</p>
