Hi everyone
I have applied to US univs this year. I am into some trouble right now and needed ur help.
My stats are pretty good and I am hoping to get into a top US univ (maybe an Ivy).
My predicted board result is about 93% (I am the class topper) but since the last one month I have been terribly sick and my board exams went pretty bad due to this. My result might go down to something like a 80-85% and I am really tensed about this. Let's say I get into a top US univ, could they revoke my acceptance due to such low scores?

I don’t think so.
Sad to hear about it though :(

I don’t think so either, especially if you explain that you were sick!

I am NO AUTHORITY, but I come with anecdotal experience: My cousin got accepted into Princeton with a predicted board exam result of above 90%, but actually got around an 84%. His admission did not get revoked. To be on the safer side, you could write an explanatory letter to the college of your choice after your results are out, OR talk to an admissions person from the college you are admitted into after you get your decision. I’m guessing the chance of admissions being revoked is rare, but do take all the precautions you can, and ensure you have a safety, either in India or abroad.
