If I fill out the form, how do you get recruited? Do the coaches base their decision on the info they give you or do they watch you play, or what?

If they are interested they should be in contact with you but feel free to email them if they do not contact you.

What sport are you talking about? For sports like football and basketball I would imagine they tend to like to see you play while for sports like cross country statistics are sufficient.

You should definitely e-mail to coach. This will allow you to (1) get more sport-specific instructions and (2) show a higher level of interest than just a recruitment form.

I don’t know what year you are in high school so this may not be a concern, but in addition by NCAA rules the coach can’t initiate contact with you until the summer before senior year. Athletes, however, are free to initiate contact at any time and then you can freely talk to the coach.

have your coach contact the coaching staff at MIT and send a tape if that’s appropriate to your sport
