Varsity Baseball Experience

To RPI Varsity Baseball Players or Parents of...,

Can you share your experiences?
How do you like the program?
How do you like the coaches?
Is the team competitive?
How is the camaraderie with teammates?
How is the school/baseball balance?
Any other thoughts?

Thanks!

Did you contact their coach?

You can answer the competitiveness question looking it up yourself. And you should go to a prospect event if you can.

Of course, if you get there, you can try to walk on. But you are better off looking before you apply, and seeing if you can get recruited.

I know that RPI says they stress academics over athletics, so they make sure each team’s average GPA is very good.

I will do that background research. The post was more to try to gain an insider’s perspective. Thanks for the input!

The best way is to go to recruiting camps, normally players work at the camps. And watch them play.

Baseball is not my son’s sport, but he watched RPI’s team play his sport and was impressed with how the game was managed and the attitudes of the coaches and players. If you are close enough to check some games out in person, I would suggest it.
