I'm an international student and I was wondering if Cal accepts walk-ons for the Women's soccer team? I didn't attend HS in the US so I never met recruiters but I'm really interested in playing for varsity if possible. I know the chances are slim and it will be tough.. but I only just learnt what a "walk-on" is and was wondering what the procedures are for this at Cal. Thanks for any advice!

You should e-mail one of the coaches or the director of operations at this link [California Golden Bears - Women’s Soccer](http://www.calbears.com/sports/w-soccer/mtt/cal-w-soccer-mtt.html#coaches). Give them the contact info of your coaches and let them know your playing experience, accolades, etc. It’s likely that the team will hold open walk-on tryouts for Cal students sometime before school starts so the earlier you contact the coaching staff the better.

If Division 1 soccer doesn’t work out you should definitely try out for the club team, which is made up of regular students but still travels and plays club teams from other colleges.
Thanks for the info, I’ll try do that! :)
