How does an admissions officer look at a gpa that was good but not great freshman and soph year, but got really good junior year and the fall term of senior year?

generally, as long as the trend is upward, it should be ok

does penn look at your fall term grades (for senior year) when you apply ed? Also, when figuring your overall gpa can you use your fall term grades?

Since the deadline for ED is before your fall term grades for senior year are known, I don't see how you can report them.

the deadline is nov 1, so when do they actually start looking at your application?

You can't report your own senior first quarter grades, and the official GPA on your transcript will not reflect them, but many schools call ED applicants' GCs to request them.

Can you specifically request your guidance counselor to send the grades ?

At my school guidance would send your first quarter grades if and only if you asked them to do so.

I think I am going to need to send them, to make up for my freshmen and sophomore year grades.

im in the same boat lol, im a rising junior but my freshman grades sucked. Mostly Bs, but my 10th grade was kool, 1 B, and 11th grade should be all As. Hopefully grades wont be a problem.
