I am planning on applying ED for Vassar 2024 and didn’t see a thread yet!
At the moment, I’m applying RD and not ED, but best of luck to all of you who will be!
Have a nice day.
I am (most likely)! Probably applying for a Neuroscience and Behavior / Hispanic Studies dual major. How about everyone else?
@Succ55 I will be applying for English and Philosophy RD. Good luck to you!
Have a nice day.
I’m applying for Chinese + (maybe) Global Studies (not sure what my second academic interest is yet)!
Hello! I too am applying EDI to Vassar! It’s nice to “meet” you! Hope everyone is surviving senior year thus far!!!
@theatergeeknyc Haha, hardly. It’s been a rough year!
Aw, I’m sorry!, @Succ55!! I relate!! Best of luck to you!!!
Hey!!! I’m applying to Vassar ED I Computer Science and philosophy.
My daughter applied ED and requested an interview but hasn’t heard anything yet. Just wondering if anyone applying ED has been contacted about interviews yet.
My daughter submitted her ED2 app about 2 weeks ago and had an alumna interview yesterday.
My son applied ED1 on 11/11 and had an interview yesterday. If you have the email confirming the request for an interview (my son received that separately from the portal) I wouldn’t worry.
Thanks! She applied on 11/13 and does have the email confirmation, so I guess we shouldn’t worry (fat chance of that…LOL). I know they said they don’t always do one but it does make me a little nervous for her.
Vassar interviews are non evaluative so guess it does not put any weight on the application
Hi. My son was contacted by the interviewer within a couple of days of requesting the interview. But maybe there is some variation from interviewer to interviewer.
Clarification to @Pop2024 's comment: the interviews are evaluative if you have one, but they will not hold it against you if you do not.
“After the conversation, the alumnae/i interviewer will send the Office of Admission a summary of your academic and personal strengths, which we will add to your application file. We recognize not all students are able to meet with an alumnae/i interviewer, so if it is not possible to arrange an interview, rest assured that it will not negatively impact your application to Vassar.”
Hi! I applied ED for class of '24!! Good Luck!
Me too httphk!!!
Hey Batdelger! I wouldn’t worry at all! Interviews are totally optional—sometimes (especially for ED, because it’s such a quick turnaround time), they are simply unable to find somebody with availability who lives near you—I’m sure this is especially common with international students like yourself, so I don’t think it will negatively affect your chances in the least. Best of luck!
No problem! Me too!!! Yes, I think we’re going to receive an email confirming the date the decisions come out this week!! ? If you don’t mind my asking, where did you hear 12/9? I really hope so too—what’s your intended major?!
